👨🔬 Meet the researcher behind our first IP-NFT!
We recently minted our first IP-NFT, awarding Dr. Mario Cordero $120 200 USD to work on Ovarian Aging!
We’ve invited Dr. Mario Cordero for a special session with AthenaDAO where you can ask him about anything you would like to know.
If you would like to learn more, we will be hosting a Q&A with him on Discord on Wednesday, August 16th at 11 am EST / 8 am PST / 5 pm CET.
📈 Limited office hours sessions!
Join us during our Office Hours where we will be demystifying the fundamental concepts of Decentralized Science and its integral components.
We will be answering all your how-to questions on how to join Discord, how to set up a wallet, how tokens work, what token auctions are, and how to get involved with governance and voting!
We will be hosting drop-in sessions from Monday, August 21st - Friday, August 25th at both 8:30 am CET and 12 pm EST.
📚 Our book club is still going strong!
In May, we launched our book club in which members of the AthenaDAO community came together once a month to read captivating novels on women’s health.
We’re still going strong and it’s been extremely interesting to discuss these works with our community.
If you are interested, our next session is on August 30th, where we’ll be reading Inferior by Angela Saini.
🧬 On femtech and women’s health research
“I am much less enthusiastic about the recent crop of companies falling into what could be broadly described as “Female Tech” (FemTech), one of the new buzzwords in the biotech start-up world. The reality is that most of the companies involved in female tech (very often coming in the form of apps) are “symptom-management” tools.”
We highly recommend checking out Ruxandra Tesloianu’s article which dives deep into the state of women’s health funding, amplifying the idea that we need more hard science for better femtech products. 👇
