Starting 2026 with a win!
AthenaDAO Featured On TIME Magazine
We are starting 2026 with AthenaDAO being featured in TIME Magazine’s Longevity issue in an article by Dominique Morgensen exploring how ovaries may hold critical insights into human longevity.
We are honored to be included amongst collaborators and leading researchers. It is a watershed moment for us as some of our funded research is successfully moving to the next stages of R&D and closer to new solutions for women’s fertility and menopause.
AthenaDAO has succeeded in accelerating overlooked R&D - funding and coordinating open, high-impact research at the intersection of biotech, femtech, and academia.
Key Milestones & Looking Ahead
AthenaDAO’s Moonshot for Fertility
We are going to spin out this year a moonshot for fertility from one of our first funded researchers, Dr. Mario Cordero. The IP-NFT work for a safe, oral small molecule that preserves ovarian reserve and endocrine function progressed with positive in vivo data ahead of schedule and we are now in the next stages of R&D.
Imagine women being able to take a pill to extend their fertility or delay menopause?
LifeAhead enters the FDA approval process
LifeAhead, the first company we successfully supported out of the lab, based on research by Dr. Joshua Johnson, is now in the FDA approval process for its menopause forecasting technology. It is an exciting step towards being in clinics by Q2.
Our first Decentralized Clinical Trial with Ovul.AI
We are finalizing our IRB application to start our decentralized clinical trial with Ovul.AI, validating novel approaches to ovarian and fertility health and advancing data-driven tools.
Join us for 2026!
As we enter the next year, our focus is on:
Expanding our data, clinical, and translational partnerships
New Cohorts outside of reproductive health
Advancing more AthenaDAO-funded research into clinical and regulatory pathways
Continuing to fund bold, first-principles science in women’s health

Our Ecosystem Building for 2025
Beyond individual projects, we’ve invested heavily in infrastructure for the women’s health R&D ecosystem:
Launched dataforwomen.ai
Hosted a Fertility 101 course
Curated a ReproTech track at Prospera and hosted many more women’s health events
Launched AthenaBIO to further develop assets in women’s health
Our community of contributors, partners, and researchers makes this possible.
Thank you for your commitment to making science work for women.
