There is a 90s Burger King ad going around where people laugh at the idea of buying their burger with a credit card. Many in crypto are sharing this, noting this is how people are going to be about crypto in the future. For now, anywhere you turn, traditional media mentions it in association with bad actors.
They do not tell you about the reasons communities like AthenaDAO are part of this ecosystem is because the technology can have a real positive impact.
And on September 5th our community got on board with out mission in women’s health research by overfunding our Genesis Governance Token auction, surpassing our goal to 126.76%!!!!
This means that we have now raised, combined with a grant and other contributions, over half a million dollars for women’s health research!!
When you hear us talk about IP- NFTs, we are referring to funded research projects. To date, we have committed 250k USD to three IP-NFTS.
I don’t know who needs to know, but this means that we have pioneered a new way of funding and we got crypto users to care about this. So much for “bad actors”.
In the following weeks, we will be turbocharging our governance and start providing other utilities (other than voting!)
Girl Economy
Bringing my fashion and product life back with our Girl Economy collection. Thank you to Sandra, one of our initial contributors, who made the suggestion to run with this from all the posts she saw on this subject.
Our AthenaDAO swag collection is going to be under the Girl Economy collection. Obviously, if you hold an ATH token, you will get limited editions and specials! We are already planning some amazing collabs with some amazing women in web3 who are on the same vibe!! 🪩

Let’s translate science into the lifestyle you can practice. This is particularly close to my heart as my journey into DeSci was predicated by my advocacy for longevity in trying to get the general public interested in the science of living longer and healthier.
We are bringing sessions with experts in fertility, longevity, and women’s health. Look out for some big names and brands, to make your health journeys better while we fund science that can make a difference.

Today is the last day to 👉 enroll in SheFi Season 9, a 13-week educational program for women and non-binary folks that features sponsors like PayPal, ENS DAO, Obol, and Tally. The cohort runs from September to December and the curriculum covers the crypto ecosystem— from setting up a wallet to DeFi to DAOs—but also new classes covering the latest in AI and LLMs.
